The Great Taste Cycle Trail passes the door and goes as far as Kaiteriteri one way or Nelson the other way via the Mapua Ferry which connects Mapua To Rabbit Island. Bikes can be hired in the village. There are artist galleries, potteries and wineries galore. The Abel Tasman National Park, Kahurangi National Park and Nelson Lakes National Park are all close by and driveable in a day. Beaches Ruby Bay across the road, Rabbit Island 10km Kaiteriteri 25km Nelson Market is on a Saturday with lots of arts, crafts and food Motueka Market is on a Sunday
