Kinloch Wilderness Retreat needs some all rounders to join us at the head of Lake Whakatipu, just 1hr stunning drive from Queenstown. Sponsorship available for the right people. We've got long term positions for the season (Oct-April) and short term positions for those looking to keep it more casual. We offer a stunning wilderness location and great outdoor activities. Close to major tracks (Routeburn, Greenstone, Rees/Dart) and many day walks; there's lots to do in the area. The work Our staff can work across all areas in our small family run business, with day-to-day duties depending on the season, the number and mix of in-house guests and ongoing project work :- Housekeeping: room makeovers, processing laundry, cleaning of communal areas, walkways, garden furniture etc. Restaurant: food preparation, breakfast cooking, bartender/barista, table service Helping in retreat activities, setting up for meetings, yoga sessions Grounds maintenance, gardening, spa pool cleaning, painting and decorating Occasionally assisting at the Glenorchy Lake House and Trading Post – our small B&B and shop in Glenorchy We will try our best to match your skills to the work available and are always happy to train up those keen and quick to learn. About you Due to our location we need resilient staff who enjoy an outdoors setting. It’s important to us that the team consists of the right people so that everyone has a great time at Kinloch. We are looking for people who are: Passionate about making something very special, with a passion for people, food and nature Able to thrive in both busy and quiet environments Reliable, self-aware, detail oriented, adaptable Great communicators with interpersonal skills What we're looking for: All staff must have the ability to work legally in New Zealand, with a valid bank account and IRD number. We require all our staff to speak English fluently. It is preferable if you have a valid drivers license. On site accommodation is in the cozy 4 bedroom staff house, with great lake and mountain views. The bills are included and you’ll have access to unlimited high speed wifi, free laundry, a TV room with over 200 DVDs, fully equipped kitchen, bikes, kayaks and hot tub with stunning views.
