Description

We are looking for Duty Manager/ Shift Manager for our well-settled Business in Hastings. A person who is self-motivated, who can go few extra miles for the growth of the business. Key responsibilities : This position requires a Qualified Duty Manager/ Bar Tender with appropriate Management experience and qualification. • Responsible for overall service staff • Develop, supervise and monitor appropriate training and retraining for all bar staff • Roster bar staff to maximize efficiency and guest service • Develop a working knowledge of all bar positions • Ensure the conduct of bar staff is professional and correct at all times • Supervise gaming services, security arrangements, and property maintenance • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations • Supervise sporting, gaming and entertainment activities • Maintain working relationships and communications with the other staff members • Supervise workloads during shifts • Ensure that duty staff provide commendable customer service and food and drinks served are of excellent quality • Ensure relevant information is efficiently and correctly passed on between shift teams • Ensure that the bar appearance, equipment, and stocks are fully maintained • Ensure compliance with liquor, health, and gaming regulations • Assess overall customer experience and reviewing customer satisfaction and preferences • Resolve customers problems quickly, efficiently and courteously • To ensure that a consistent standard of customer service is delivered • To ensure that a consistently high standard of dress, personal presentation and courtesy is achieved • To ensure that all staff are fully conversant or being actively trained in the gaming and other services. • To ensure that wage costs are contained within budgeted parameters • To ensure that guest billing and cash handling procedures are accurate • To ensure staff turnover is low Additional Information; • Position will require weekend work • Public holidays and some split shifts Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
